I have grouped several codes, but when I tried and add in a conditional format the groups separate

Hi,

I have grouped several codes, but when I tried to add in a new column to show Negative and Positive figure using the below the groups separate out

 

Brackets - Variance YTD 2 TEST 2024/25 =
FORMAT('Income'[Variance YTD],
"#,0.00;(#,0.00)")
 
Any ideas please

With FORMAT(), your numeric measure is converted into text data type and once it’s text, Grouping treats values as distinct strings, not numbers anymore. 

 

So, Keep your original measure numeric

Measure =
SUM('Income'[Variance YTD])

 

In Model view select the measure and set format to:
