How to remove unused columns in Power BI using Tabular Editor
Hi Community !
I'm currently working with a Power BI dashboard that was build by some one else that imports information from various online data bases and uses many different measures which has caused that dashboard to be slow and very data intensive.
I'm trying to identify and remove any unsused columns / measures within the dashboard however because it's an organisation's dashboard with confidential data , I'm a bit skeptical on using online external tools. Does anyone know of any tools using OR scripts that use tabular editor that can be used to identify columns that arent being used or referenced that can be removed from the data model?

You would need to read through the documentation to confirm it meets your specific confidentiality requirements.

So, what are some options for maintenance tools to consider in August 2023?
Imke's tool is not maintained, she sends folks to other tools. Many
Tenants and their Admins are quickly moving to Measure Killer which
is quite capable, provides administrative reports, and is very friendly
to use.
Would I use it in a production environment? Quick answer: Yes.
Have I personally heard of negative reports from SECOPS folks about this? No.
As in all third-party tools, YMMV. Any applicable due diligence is required
