Hi all,
Can someone tell me how can I set as default for old reports to open using the updated power bi version?
I did an update a while ago and I dont know how to identify/locate the old version so I can remove from my computer. Problem is, if I click on the file to open it opens with the old version. Even if I had already open the file from the new updated version. So annoying 😞
Thanks in advance

Hi @rdops ,
You could refer to these two methods.
1. Open new version, go to File-->Open report.
2. Right click your pbix file, go to Open with --> More apps --> Look for another app in this PC -->selet the main program of new version( on my side, it is "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Power BI Desktop\bin\PBIDesktop.exe ).

Thanks V,
I was doing the option 1, but just found annoying that sometimes I clicked on the actual reaport and it default opened with the old version. Doing the option 2 works for me as I can chose which one to open with (the old version is called Microsoft Power BI Desktop and the new version is Power BI Desktop. I havent managed to delete the old version but the 'open with' solution works for me.
Many thanks
RD
