How to ensure correct encoding when importing parquet files into Power BI

Is there anybody that knows how to ensure UTF-8 encoding when reading parquet files into Power BI? I have trouble reading the Danish letters æ, ø and å, when importing parquet files into Power BI. This works perfectly fine when using a Synapse UTF-8 encoded database.
