How to edit a premade item in a power query step?

I've inherited this power query and my predecessor has 'items' in the formula that are also created by a formula. When I hover over these items I can see the formula but I don't know how to edit the formula. (see screenshot below)

Is this possible? Also how are these created?

Good day Finalyst96,

The "items" you see are other queries. Let's say you make a query called DateToday which returns todays date.

let
Source = Date.From( DateTime.LocalNow() )
in
Source

Then you make another query called DatePlusSevenDays which references DateToday...

let
Source = Date.AddDays( DateToday, 7 )
in
Source

 When you hover over DateToday in this second query it will show the code of DateToday. You can see the queries in the Queries panel at the left hand side of the query editor.

Hope this helps.
