How is the DataSourcePath different to report parameters?

I don't think the problem is with the custom connector, once we reference the parameters in the data source path, then the template file will open and only prompt for the parameter values and not the data source path.

Thanks v-kkf-msft . I am aware of this behaviour, I just wanted to know how to ask for the data source path again.
