How does Odata service handle data transformation?

Hi, While making a custom connector for OData services, is the data brought in after transformation or transformations are applied after bringing data to power bi desktop?

It seems that we will create the custom connector with power query.

I'm not clear what transformation do you mean? 

Normally, when you get the data via the custom connector, you also could transform the data in query editor.
