How do I connect Power BI Desktop with Visual Studio Online?

Currently the online version of Power BI has an data-source for Visual Studio Online. When I click it, then I can create a dataset based on that. How can I do the same in the desktop version of Power BI?

    Is there any specific reason why it is not part of Power BI Desktop? I am also looking for this connector for my project purposes. Power BI Team, please prioritize this enhancement and provide update as there are so many users waiting for it.

      I agree, it would be nice to have a Visual Studio Windows form component to view Power Bi dashboards that we can integrate with our apps..

    Visual studio online is a contect pack for PowerBI service (online) only. Is not listed/supported as a data source in PowerBI Desktop..at least yet.
