How can I solve my problem to transform a binary file into a table.xlsx in Power Query?
Hello goodnight!!!
If you're just trying to connect to a single file, what I like to do is connect to a local desktop copy and change the path to SharePoint/OneDrive. There's no code involved and it's quite simple - here's a link to the tutorial if it helps: https://youtu.be/wHzrBkbUBgM
You can also use the SP Folder connector, but it creates a lot of extra stuff for combining files that you don't need if you just have a single Excel file.
Hello goodnight!
I watched this video but it still didn't work. I followed all the steps correctly, but even though I deleted the navigation in the sample file, the moment I click on the binary to make the combination, it gives this error:
"DataSource.Error: Web.Contents failed to get content"
In the description you left in the YouTube video, I tried to access the YouTube link about the sp connector, but it appears that the video is private.
I need to create or think of some way to connect Sharepoint to PowerBI in an automated way, because the owner of this file does not tell me when the data updates, and the error persists when combining files in Content.
But in advance, thank you very much for helping me and I will continue researching more about the sp connector.
Whoops, I may have copied the wrong link - there's two very similar ones, one for files and one for folders. If you have a single file, you want this one: https://youtu.be/2HZ8l23RXnc
I fixed the link reference in the description, thanks for mentioning!
