Hi,
I am trying to used direct query connector for Google BigQuery and Power BI. I am being asked to connect with a data view. I am unable to see the view from Power BI and the only thing I can discover is that the query has the setting 'Use Legacy SQL = "Yes" the two views I can see have this set to "No"
What I know: Using ODBC connection I can not do a direct query, only import.
Using the connector, I can not write my own select.
Does anyone have any experience with this? I would apprecate your guidance.
Suzanne
Hi @Anonymous ,
Based on my research, it is not supported yet currently. In your scenario, we can filter the data in power query to work ar ound. Btw, There is an idea and about that you can vote it up and add your comments there to make this feature coming sooner.
Check out the November 2025 Power BI update to learn about new features.
