Fuzzy vlookup in power query

Hi Experts,

please help me on this.

i have table1 and table 2  in power query

in table1, vendor_name

in table2, vendor_name, and cateogory

I need to create a new field as category in TABLE1 by doing fuzzy vlookup as vendor names entered by users because of this names doesn't match exactly and suffixed/prefixed with digits, space, special character etc.,

I tried with merge query by joining left but it is giving lot of duplication. What should be the best solution for this.

If you have not already tried it, adding a column in Table 2 with Table.AddFuzzyClusterColumn() may help with your relationship to Table 1. Here is the link to the learn document.learn.microsoft.com - table.addfuzzyclustercolumn()
