    Hi Anonymous ,

    Please try this DAX:

    RowCount = 
CALCULATE(
    COUNTROWS('Table1'),
    FILTER(
        'Table1',
        CONTAINSSTRING('Table1'[Column1], "the text the formula should count")
    )
)

    I created sample data and tested that the program works.
