Force Power Query to Fail Refresh if No Data Found

Hi All,

I'm looking for a way to force Power Query to fail a scheduled refresh if no data is available. I'm pulling data from a database on a daily basis. When a refresh is successful this fires a subscription to send the report to a distribution list.

Rarely we have failures at database build but the Power BI subscription will send out a blank report page as it will refresh to an empty dataset.

Are there any methods in Power Query that can force a refresh error if no rows of data are found in a particular query?

Thanks!

Kris

You may try using Table.IsEmpty and Errors.
