Hi Team,
We are facing some issue while accessing the PowerBI dashboard which is getting the data from SSAS Tabular Cube.
Able to see the tiles on the dashboard, when tried to open the report its taking time forever to load but not loading the report at the end. Some people already posted in the PowerBI at Microsoft community in Yammer.
It would be great help if you solve this problem.
Thanks
Nagarjuna
You can use SQL Profiler on the SSAS server to monitor the queries and commands being sent from Power BI. Do you observe any errror when the report loading failure happens?
If there is nothing obvious showing up in the profiler, we will need to to investigate closely in the service.
I am experiencing the same issue. Some people can access, while other people remain in a state of loading. The users with issues were orginally able to access this stuff, now they can't. These problems have arisen recently with the new Power Bi changes
Any help is appreciated
I still have some testing to do around this, but I will tentatively say that it would appear that they have implemented security to the tabular models to the end user. Which is huge. I had the same issue you are describing with an end user I shared a content pack with connecting via AS tabular. There is no error, it just sits at "load" - the minute I added the user to have a role on the model all the content appeared. You didn't specify if this was the end user or report creator, so hope this helps!
Hi, you have to remember that SSAS is a live connection, so, you may be have issues with your SSAS server or your bandwidth.
Go to your SSAS server an monitor you network card, take the same actions with your ISP.
The dashboards are not live as your report, the dashboard tiles take about 10 minutes to be updated and that is why the people who is using just the dashboards have not the same kind of issues.
If you want to be sure about what I'm talking about, go to your SSAS and create a simple role with row filters and try again with a user in that role and you will see.
Regards
