External table is not in the expected format.
i am trying to load data in powerbi from excel which is in XLSB format somtimes able to load bt somtime getting error saying
External table is not in the expected format.
do anyone know what sholud be reason behind
the way power bi imports data for XLSB files is very different then XLSX. Please try to convert it into XLSX then your issues should get resolved. If that is not something possible then follow the approach suggested here: Importing XLSB into Power BI - Excelerator BI

Agree with tharunkumarRTK .
Excel binary file .xlsb is not a support data source in Power BI. Ideas had already been submitted. Please Vote it on the link below.
