Weird error here - I have a an Excel 2013 Powerpivot spreadsheet reading from an on-premise SQL server.
If I save this locally and then load it directly up into Power BI then the refresh via the Local Gateway works.
But If I save exactly the same spreadsheet into OneDrive For Business and then refresh - I see SQL activity for the first table on the SQL server (so the refresh has started) but then nothing happens and after a while I get an error in Power BI saying the on-premises Gateway is off line.
Anyone else experiencing this / any ideas
Hi, thanks for reporting the problem. There is a known problem the team is working on where the OneDrive refresh (that happens on hourly basis) overwrites the scheduled refresh through your personal gateway, so you end up with the stale data that is in the workbook rather than the data that was refreshed directly from the data source. Does this look like the problem you are encountering?
If not, and the problem is still happening, can you share the activity ID that you get when you see this error and we'll investigate the issue.
If you have recently started exploring Fabric, we'd love to hear how it's going. Your feedback can help with product improvements.
