Excel PQ, Table by Reference, doesnt update automatically

i have several Tables by Reference that are loaded into Excel as Tables...  If i make changes to the parent table, once i close and save changes and load to Excel Tables, the parent table gets updated, but not the reference tables.  why not?  do i need to do anything to have them  update when parent table updates

    If your reference tables in Power Query aren't updating when your parent table changes, try the following steps:

    1. Refresh all queries (Data > Refresh All).
    2. Ensure automatic refresh is enabled (Data > Queries & Connections > Query Properties).
    3. Check that the parent table is refreshed before the reference tables.
    4. Update query steps in Power Query if you've made significant changes to the parent table.
    5. Confirm that the tables are not set as "Connection Only".

    Make sure to save any changes to your parent table for Power Query to reflect them.
