Error when expanding a column: No columns were found

I have a SPO list where a column named "Business Owner" is a people picker field.  When I try to connect to it using 2.0 (Beta), I get this error:

When I connect using 1.0, the preview is truncated due to size limits.  But it connects.  When I open the Query Editior, the Business Owner column looks like this:

When I try to expand the column, I get this, even though there is data in the SPO list:

When I go back and click one of the Table links, I get this error message:

How can I view the Business Owner names?

I got this tip from a colleague.  There is a field called 'FieldValuesAsText'.  Expanding that one allowed me to get the field I needed.

I got this tip from a colleague.  There is a field called 'FieldValuesAsText'.  Expanding that one allowed me to get the field I needed.

Can you expand on where this 'Field value as text' is found or selected?    I have the same exact issue with "no columns were found" and the SP request fialed error (500) and have no idea where to find 'FieldValuesAsText" from inside PQ.   thanks!

Hi respinosa1962,

I'm having the same problem - "No cloumns were found" in expanding one of the column in the XML table.

Can you explain further on how to get to "FieldValuesAsText" and expand it, it seems I couldn't find the field anywhere inside the table?  Thanks.

Hi @respinosa1962 ,

Please delete the data source (File->Options and Settings->Data Source Settings->Clear Permission) and reconnect to see if it works. And please always use the lateser version of Power BI Desktop.

@AnkitKukreja , I tried using that, but I'm not trying to connect to files.  I need to connect to a SPO list.  It may help to know that the field "Business Owner" is a people picker field configured to allow multiple selections.

Which connector are you using?

Hi Ankit!  Why would I use SharePoint folder, when I'm connecting to a SPO List?

Hi! @respinosa1962

Please confirm which connector you're using here? You should be using SharePoint folder.

Please go through this.
