Error configuring the Power BI Analysis Services Connector

Hi, I am trying to set up the Power BI Analysis Services Connector to connect to Tabular Data... However on the screen where i "Connect to the SQL Server Analysis Server after i put in the Server Name and the Windows User Name and Password i get the following error:

 

"One or more error occurred when accessing the host service. error message: forbidden."

 

I am using the latest version of the connector. I can connect to the Tabular Data directly from Power BI Desktop using the same windows credentials.

    2 Recommendations:
    1. Check whether the ports get opend for the connector or you have a restriction there.

    2. I would propose to use the Enterprise gateway instead of the AS Connector, as the AS Connector is not the "thing of the future". ;-)
