The thread never established a single root cause. INVALID_SESSION_ID indicates an invalid Salesforce session, and one commenter found that the problem occurred only behind a corporate firewall.
Clear the Salesforce credentials and reconnect. If the issue remains, check the proxy or firewall, Salesforce session IP locking, and that the query uses a supported Salesforce API version.
Power BI Connector for Salesforce can be tested as an alternative source, but it still depends on Salesforce permissions and network access.
