Embedding Reports onto on-Prem Sharepoint

Hi,

I was wondering if someone can help,

I want to know how I can embed a Power BI Report (using the link from the service)

onto an On-Premise SharePoint Site.

I tried to use Page Viewer but when I apply the link all I see if the flashing Power BI logo. H

Also, I was wondering if my SharePoint members need a Pro license to view any reports I embed?

Thanks,

Boycie92

@Boycie92,

If you use the link that is generated following the guide in this article, it is not applicable to on-premises SharePoint. And using this method, you need to follow Power BI Pro or Premium licensing, which means you can only share with people who has Pro licenses, or they have free account which is part of a premium capacity.

If you want to share Power BI report to those users who have no pro licenses, you can generate code by using publish to web feature, and add the embed code to page viewer. However, if you concern about the security issue, you can use Power BI embedding feature.
