Dynamic date slicer with latest date as default.

I have a date time table . Now I want a slicer , where I want the date to show todays date as default selection . User can then select their own date if they want. Also the date table will keep on refreshing. So I need two solutions , 1. default selection as todays date, 2. default selection as latest date available .
