Dynamic Get Data Location- Pulling from Current Users Desktop

I am creating a Power Bi file that will need to pull data from a common location that is unique to each user, but will allow the file to not need to be manipulated.

For example, save file X to your desktop as name X and refresh the data. However, the desktop location includes the uses name C:\Users\(username)\Desktop . Is there any way to write a dymanmic code to put a username in to that username location, or can anyone think of a way to code power bi to pull data without having to adjust the get data location for each user? the files are formatted the same but contain different data unique to that user.

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous ,

For your requirement, you may could use the feature query parameter in Power BI to achieve that.

We could define the different data source as the parameter and then when you open the pbix file, you could change the parameter to load the data source you need.

More details, please have a reference of this blog which describe in details with an example.
