Does connection refreshing schedule work in xlsx on sharepoint?

Hello

If I build a desktop xlsx with Queries and Connections to a SQL server and set this connection to refresh every 30min, will this work in the Sharepoint/Online version of this xlsx after I upload it to Sharepoint?

Let's say you have an xlsx with some data connections which you have set them to refresh every 30 min. The xlsx can be stored in your Sharepoint, OneDrive or local directory.

Will the data refresh in this xlsx when the file is not open? Can we make it to?

If you are using a sharepoint connector, it updates everytime you update also your online file.
