Disable auto sum and change date formats for DataMart

Dear community,

I have a DataMart created for my organisation. Our users will connect with the DataMart directly through the SQL Endpoint.

How can I disable the auto-sum and change the date formats to "dd-mm-yyyy" for my users? Is this done in the Power Query?

I would like to hear from you.

Kind regards,

Jorrit Bakker

Hi Jorrit,

Please try:

Go to the Modeling tab. --> Click on the numeric column in the Fields pane. --> In the Default Summarization dropdown, select Do not summarize.

Then click on the date column in the Fields pane --> In the Format dropdown, select the custom date format, type as "dd-MM-yyyy".

Dear Gao,

Thanks for your reply. I have changed some of the settings on this place, but this only seems to work if the user connects to the DataMart via app.powerbi.com. In this case the users cannot create relationships and for our situation it is not desired.

I have tried to change the settings as shown on the screenshot. Do you have any other suggestion?

Kind regards,

Jorrit
