Difference between DateTimeZone.UtcNow() and DateTimeZone.FixedUtcNow()

Hello. Can anyone help explain what are the differences between using DateTimeZone.UtcNow() and DateTimeZone.FixedUtcNow()?

The only difference in the documentation for FixedUTCNow is the following statement:

This value is fixed and will not change with successive calls.

But honestly, I don't understand what this sentence mean. Can anyone help explain with examples?

Hi @Anonymous

I'm not pretty sure, but I think that it is related with time zones that changes between winter/summer times. I mean, fixed UTC will never work right with countries like Germany or Spain.

Hi @mlsx4 , I don't think that is what it means though, since the statement did not say about "time", but rather about "successive calls".

I think this would mean if someone refreshes the data very frequently in short interval, it will not change by the second or minute, but when I try to refresh it frequently the datetime still change each time.
