Hello
I’ve got a pivot table from a power pivot model. The model’s data is sourced for an SQL server 2012 database. I’ve created a simple chart based on the pivot table.
I can format the date field on the Pivot table, but the formatting on the chart doesn’t change. I’ve tried every which way to format the chart, but nothing seems to work. It looks as if the chart sees the date value as a string?
Any suggestions
Thanks in advance.

Is there any way you can provide a sample file without sensitive data?
It'll be much easier to help with a sample to work with.

Hi @Anonymous ,
Apologies if this sounds a bit obvious, but have you tried changing the data to DATE type at source?

Thanks for the reply. It is a date at source and in the power pivot model.
