Date format in DAX Matrix
I'm trying to format date format from ex: Thursday, April 9, 2020 TO 4/9/2020 from within the Matrix view but it is still depicting the date in the matrix as Year|Qtr|Month|Day. Just to note that I went into Modeling and change Date Type:Date m/d/yyyy format and it changed the data in the fields. However, once as I switch to DAX Matrix, it is still reflecting the date format Year,Qtr,Month,Day. I've been searching how to do this but all results are pointing to change it in Modeling, which I have already done. Shouldn't the Matrix incorporate my selected date format??
- In the fields area, click the drop down arrow and switch from hierarchy to just the date.

- Yeah, it annoys me that it defaults to hierarchy!! I find myself having to change it more often than not!
