Date (and Currency) Types not retained on Load to Excel

New user here.

I have a Power Query set up and I have changed data types as required.

But when I Close and Load, each of thes columns appear in Excel as "General" data type.

What am I doing wrong? I've tried googling for answers, but so far not found anything suitable.

Thanks

Colin

Edited 28th to correct minor typo

Has anyone got any thoughts on this problem? As a new user I cannot find a solution.
