Dataset not refreshing - The key didn't match any rows in the table

Hi all,

I have searched this error and I see lots of solutions pointing to excel file names, but in my case I beleive my issue is on the D365 Business Central side. I have a report connected to D365 Business Central and I am getting this error all of a sudden. Could MS have done an update overnight to cause me the need to re-define the source?

One evening I refreshed just fine, and then in the morning I went to refresh and got this error when I went in to the query builder this is the error I see...

I had to reach out to our Microsoft IT partner and they pointed out there was a MS patch that caused the connection from BC to PBI to break due to capital letters....I went into the query editor and changed "PRODUCTION" to "Production" and the connection now works.

Hello @baklost

this to me seems like a problem with your query itself. Maybe your database changed in a way that your code is not working out anymore (like a renamed table or sheet). If you post the query, we could check out where you are using a key

@baklost What do you see when you click the button Go to Error? If it was refereshing fine and now it isn't it could be a Service glitch. Or, possibly something got added that isn't matching up on a key in another table where there is a relationship?

You could check the Issues forum here:

And if it is not there, then you could post it.

DAX is easy, CALCULATE makes DAX hard...

I assumed it was service error at first, but it has persisted for several days now. When I click Go To error, it just points me back at this Production table code. I do think it's possible that someone added a new column to a table that I am linked to, but I didnt expect it to completely break my connection. Is there an easy way to diagnose that?

@baklost Well, you could try removing any relationships and then trying refresh?
