Dataflow refresh after rule changed

Hello community,

Its my first time using Dataflows on PowerBI, i currently have a issue that everytime i change or add a new rule on PowerQuery, the PowerBI Desktop donwloads all the data from Dataflow to refresh the view, and its takes some time because of the volume of data i have it.

My question is, can i disable or limit the data download after changes have been done in PowerQuery? Its possible to enable the donwload of data only after i apply this new rules?

Try disabling background data preview.
