Data refresh seperaterly
Hi,
Thanks for looking at my post.
I have 8 tables in my power bi and out of that 3 tables download millions of rows for every refresh. I have 2 tables linking to excel and which i need to refresh those 2 (excel linked) tables more often than other tables. I have set auto refresh in the portal for every 6 hrs but is that any way i can set 2 excel linked table to refresh every hour and rest of the tables for every 6 hours automatically please?

I'd group the queries by refresh frequency, then add the least frequent into their own dataflow.
For example, leave the two Excel linked tables in your desktop report, and refresh the report in the PBI Service every hour. Put all the six-hour refresh queries into a dataflow which you refresh every six hours, and bring these queries into your desktop report via dataflows.

No problem. Dataflows are Power Query queries that are stored in the Power BI Service, and can be connected to from Power BI desktop via Get Data, just like any other source. You can refresh them independently of any reports in order to have your query results in the cloud, ready for when you need them.
