Data Refresh with CSV files on One Drive

I created a dataset and reports in Power BI Desktop from a CSV file on my Team's One drive site.  I then uploaded it to the Power BI Service.  If I make a change to the CSV file on the one drive won't Power BI automatically update the dataset?

Depends on whether you selected "Connect" or "Import" essentially. And usually, you use an Excel file when doing things this way so I can't be 100% certain how it will work in your case. But, yes, if it is an Excel file and you use "Connect", then that is my understanding of how it is supposed to work.

DAX is easy, CALCULATE makes DAX hard...

Thats what I thought should happen.  I just wanted to make sure that if I create a dataset/report in Desktop and upload it to the service then going forward it should auto update if stored in the one drive.  But I cannot seem to get it to work.

Don't upload, connect. And I'm thinking it might not fly with a CSV file

All I have is "connect"  there isn't another option so that is what I click. It says under the settings that one drive refresh is active.

Ok,that sounds correct.

Would I have to update the dataset in the PBXI file?  Or do I need to create the report in the service instead of desktop?

@joschultz When you created your reports from PBI desktop did you choose Get Data -> From File -> One Drive? If not try connecting to your file that way and see if that helps.

I did try that.  The data set updates and the desktop file will update after I update the desktop file but I am trying to have the dataset update and the report in the service update without having to update the desktop file.  I have a ticket open.
