Data Flows: Please Help: We're sorry, an error occurred during evaluation.

I'm getting an error "We're sorry, an error occurred during evaluation." when attempting to create a data flow using a web-based API.  The API connection works well for other data flows, but this particular call is failing strictly on powerbi.com.

 

The same exact code works fine on the desktop. 

 

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot?  I do not have a data gataway, and it is pulling back XML by an anonymous connection if that matters.

    Investigating this further... I'll add that the error does not seem to be consistent.  It will work with sometimes, but fail others.  I get the impression the connection is getting dropped or something is not happening correctly with the anonymous authentication.  Is there cache I should clear or something?

     

    I'm also occasionally seeing: "We encountered an unexpected error."

    According to your description, it seems that the error occur by accidently, right? Please check its detailed error information. And you also  need to check whether you set gateway and type the correct credential. By the way, you also could open a ticket for this problem(https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/)
