Data Connection Wizard Cannot obtain a list of databases from the specified data source

sporadically, when connecting to our pbi dataset (dual mode / premium capacity), we are getting following error; any idea why? I am connecting using analysis service connection in excel and providing the workspace connection string.

"The Data Connection Wizard Cannot obtain a list of databases from the specified data source"

You can use some workarounds as introduced here.

"Analyze in excel" seems to be very helpful as i tested before.
