Dashboard Tile Refresh

Do dashboard tiles refresh automatically without having to trigger a "Refresh Dashboard Tiles" from Dashboard Actions? We are displaying dashboards across several monitors and would like for the info...

Hi dkkip05,

 

By default, the dashboard tile will refresh the data cache about every fifteen minutes. See: Tile refresh.

 

As I don't know what's the data source in your scenairo, I did test about SQL Server database in Import mode, after the dataset refresh is completed, the dashboard tile will update with the latest data automatically. In your scenario, please schedule refresh or manually refresh for the dataset then wait for 15 minutes to see if the issue is persists.

My tests show that the tiles are not refreshing every 15 minutes with the browser refreshing every 5 minutes. Is it possible that it's a browser caching issue?

    IN the past, I have had issues with tiles not refreshing as they should. This was found to be related to filters that were in place on those tiles. Are your tile filtered?

      Some are and some are not. Does not seem to make a difference at all.

        Hi dkkip05,

         

        Please make sure  the dataset is refreshed within those 15 minutes. After dataset data is updated, then dashboard can refresh cached data for tiles.
