DAX lookup = merge queries?

Hi guys, please help me and explain ? I created a calculated column in DAX:

Route = LOOKUPVALUE(Manual[Route_full], Manual[Route], Trains[Route])
So in Trains I get Route_full column with no blank values.

Now in Power Query when I merge Trains with Manual (left outer) through Route column I get null values.

Not sure why, any thoughts?

@Anonymous

Merge Queries can achieve similar goals to lookupvalue. Maybe provide sample tables and expected output, see if we can help you to make it.

@Anonymous - Sample data would be good but I'm wondering about your setup here. Since you are using DAX for your Route column, that means it is a calculated column and that calculation occurs after Power Query does its work so I am wondering if the issue here is the order of operations? Would need sample data to recreate.
