Create table with dates and categories
Hi!
I have a single column table containing dates as below:
Each day is on a separate line - no duplicates. Now I would like to add a new column with categories. I would like to create rows so that each contains a date + category combination. The end result would look like this:
| date | categorie |
| 01.01.2019 | Categorie A |
| 01.01.2019 | Categorie B |
| 02.01.2019 | Categorie A |
| 02.01.2019 | Categorie B |
| 03.01.2019 | Categorie A |
| 03.01.2019 | Categorie B |
And so on...
Do you have an idea how to automate this process so that I don't have to manually enter each combination one by one?
You start with 2 tables (dates and categories). In the dates table, add a custom column.
In the dialog that pops up just write CategoryTable[the Column] <-- Your names here
Then Expand the Column 'To Rows'
