Create date column from text field

I have a data text field  2020 Jan. How do I create a new date field 1-Jan-2020. Thanks

    You can convert the data type to date or use the locale option:

    Select the column -> Change type -> Using locale

    Hi Anonymous ,

    You can create a column like this:

    Column = CONVERT('Table'[data],DATETIME)

    Change the format to "dd-mmmm-yy":

    Or you can create a custom column in power query, close and apply it, and change the format like the previous.

    = Table.TransformColumnTypes(Table.AddColumn(#"Changed Type", "Custom", each Date.FromText([data])),{{"Custom", type date}})

    Attached a sample file in the below, hopes to help you.
