I learned a couple neat tricks recently. One trick was the ability to create bins in Power Query. This is super cool and super easy to do using the 'columns from example' feature. These bins, when placed on the x-axis of a column chart, aggregated the metric to a more meaningful level. Very helpful! Great video on how to do this here (https://youtu.be/D1LO8syugMA)
The second trick was to create a couple additional bins, using the same method, but at a larger grain. I found I could add these to the x-axis of the same visual and create a nice little hierarchy that my business partner can easily drill up and down on. Super cool! Now he is in complete control of what grain the metric is shown depending on what he is analyzing. It's like having 3 or 4 charts in one. Combined with a zoom slider and he can exactly what he wants!
Hi @cmengel
Thanks for sharing! I have never used the "Column from examples" feature in this way. It's awesome and smart! Thanks again!
