Connectivity problem between Power BI query and Power BI desktop

Hi everyone,

Thank you in advance for your help.

I have created database in power BI query. When I click on "apply and quit" I cannot find my new bases in power BI desktop. I've tried to "actualize" power BI desktop, but still, it doesn't work.

Any ideas of what the problem is ?

Thanks in advance !

Madeleine

  • Hi Anonymous ,

    1) If you are using the Live Connection method of data acquisition then you will not see your tables in the Power BI Desktop DATA and MODEL tabs, but you will see them in the Fields list.

    2) If you are using the Direct Query method then you will not see your tables in the Power BI Desktop DATA tab, but you will see them in the MODEL tab and the Fields list.

    3) If you are using the Import method then, in Power Query, check if your query names are in italic font. If they are, right-click on them and make sure to put a check next to 'Enable load'. You should then see your tables in the DATA tab, the MODEL tab, and in the Fields list.
