Hi all,
My Teradata is running in AWS, so in theory I wouldn't need a BI Gateway.
But after uploading my .pbix file to Power BI Service, when I try to refresh the dataset, it says I need a gateway.
In BI Desktop, I tried both options "Import" as well as "DirectQuery" for the Teradata connection but after uploading the .pbix file, BI Service always keeps asking for a gateway...
Why would I install a BI gateway on-prem when my Teradata is in the cloud.
How could BI Service connect directly to my Teradata running in AWS ?

Although it is a cloud base datasource, but based on this document https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/power-bi-data-sources, it seems require a gateway, even if you firewall has open rules for Azure Service Bus:
