Connection for excel file with on-premise gateway

Hello,

I have installed the data gateway and I want to add an excel file from the q disc.

Now I tried connecting to the file and got the following error code: -2147467259

Any idea what failed or what I did wrong?

Based on the above screenshot, you input wrong suffix(.xlxs) for the Excel file. The file path shoule be Drive:\XXXXX\Resultaten_2018.xlsx.

  Connections are impossible although on-premises gateway says it is ready for connections.

    Who should connect a gateway manager or the gateway serviceaccount?
    
    connection in Power BI desktop work fine.
    
    there are no connections possible no local xlsx files, no database (Postgres), an nog online data from a service-provicer.

    Yes you need a connection for each Excel file
