Connecting to JIRA via REST API - getting error "An API Key value wasn't specified"
I am trying to connect to our JIRA via the following URL xxxx.atlassian.net/rest/api/2/search, where xxxx is the name of my company. I generated an API Token here https://id.atlassian.com/manage/api-tokens. I log in with my Atlassian credential, and entered the API tokene here: Web API-> Key, but I get "An API Key value wasn't specified". Back on the Token generation page it says my token was never accessed. What am I doing whrong?

I am not sure whether this is caused by token or API key, you could refer to this video ( from 16:00) for more details. And I will try to test this in my enviornment, i will inform you as soon as i get it.

Zoe ZhiZoe, thanks for your responce here. I noticed that the video you suggested is referring to Power BI service. I am trying to connect to JIRA from Power BI desktop. Is this even possible? Do I need a Pro account?
I am running aroud in circles:
1. I saw this article that suggest I can easily link through a JIRA content pack, except, I don't know where/how to find that content pack.
2. On the other hand, this blogpost suggest I should import RET API in Power BI, but I would need to pay for ZappySys ODBC PowerPack.
I am new to Power BI and not super technical. So, starting with the basics: Is there a way to connect to JIRA from a Free Power BI desktop account? If yes, are there step by step instructions? @ImkeF
I had the same issue as you, and was able to solve it by following the steps on the following page:
The TL;DR is that you have to use your username and JIRA API key as the password under 'Basic'
