Solved: Connecting to Informix: Port 9089

HELP …

We are evaluating PowerBI for deployment to our 3,300 clients. In attempting to connect PowerBI to our Informix database. The first issue we had was PowerBI wanted to connect over port 9089. Which we have restricted

So we added the preferred port number to the end of the server name …

and we got the following message ... Help?

The Microsoft Connector for Informix only supports DRDA. Please make sure that you have configured the Informix server to be “DRDA enabled” and to listen on the 1543 “DRDA port”. And if firewall is turned on, please make an exception for the listening port that is used by Informix.
