Connecting to Dynamics Marketing

Hi

 

I have a 30 day free trial of Dynamics Marketing.  Within the same subscription I have a PowerBI free subscription.  I am logged into both using the same username.

 

This user has been enabled for OData and the Odata service is enabled in Dynamics Marketing.

 

However, when I attempt to Connect to Microsoft Dynamics Marketing using OAuth2 I get an error saying "The OAuth authentication method isn't supported for this data source. Contact your admin."

 

All of this is done inside the same subscription.  
The link that I'm using to get the data is https://my_org.marketing.dynamics.com/analytics

 

When I put this url directly into a browser I get 

<Error>
<Message>OData service not available</Message>
</Error>
 
Please can someone tell me which bit of the puzzle I am missing.
 
I have checked this again some 9 hours later, and it is still the same.  I was hoping that it was because both the trials were very new, but it would seem that this is not the case.

    Hi

     

    I have solved the problem.

     

    In my MDM environment the OData setting had turned itself off.

     

    The key things are to

    1. have the OData service turned on
    2. Enable the user for OData
    3. Log on using OAuth2

    Once of all these are in place - but please do double check - it does work correctly.
