Connecting Vena Solutions cloud database to PowerBI

I need the ability to connect a Vena Solutions cloud database to PowerBI.

Vena Solutions provides an Ad-hoc connector for Microsoft Excel, allowing you to interrogate you data in Excel.

But there is no such connector available for PowerBI.

Default PowerBI connections also do not allow for this.

The connection string in Excel reads: Provider=VODBOProvider

Can someone please help me find a workaround that does not involve refreshing Excel sheets.

I want to connect the data directly.

I am not familiar with Vena Solutions cloud database. I would recommend you check if there is a possibility to create an ODBC data source for the database, it is possible to connect to ODBC data source in Power BI Desktop.
