Connecting Power BI to Syspro
I was a former Syspro administrator and if the back end is still just a SQL database, it would be fairly simple to do so. You would use the SQL Server connector, enter the server, select the Syspro database, enter credentials, and then either pass a query or select tables to utilize.

Yes it is fairly simple. Just by asking the question I like to know if you are a strong SYSPRO person or a strong Power BI person. If either then the answer is yes. If not then you will need help. The help you will need is figuring out the SQL database of SYSPRO then the data dictionary meaning the tables structure. Using Power BI you can just connect to SQL or use ODBC provided by SYSPRO if you paid for the license.

I'm fairly new to both Syspro and Power BI (I'm more if a MRST guy), I was able to connect them and you're right there's so many Syspro tables it was overwelming at first, but I was able to reference the important tables from some MS Access queries I had been using prior to implimenting Power BI, and the query searching and filtering is pretty smooth in Power BI so I'm in good shape now and can find what I need.
