Connect Power Query to a Power BI Dataset in PBI

As I understand, there is no standard connector for a Power BI Dataset in Power Query for PBI.  Therefore, my questions are:

 

1. Is there a programmatic method of connection similar to Power Query in Excel, referenced here?

2.  Is there any plan for this feature to be available in the future?

    Yes, there is a standard connector for both Excel and Power BI to 

    connect to a Power BI Dataset when published to a Workspace in

    the Service.    Do you have a different question in mind?
