Configuring existing dataset to work with gateway
I managed to get the freshly installed on-premises data gateway up and running, everythings ok in the app.powerbi service. I can make a new report, get data from our mysql database, make a few visual...
Make sure the Gateway is configured to use the MySQL database and the connection is active.
Delete the old (existing) datasource from app.powerbi and upload the file again. Try setting up the refresh now.

Does the existing dataset only contain MySQL data source? If so, make sure that the connection string(server name, database name) you use in Power BI Desktop match that you use in gateway.
However, if your dataset contains multiple data sources, please ensure that you add all the data sources within gateway.
